This is definitely the up and coming area of the whole of the La Manga strip with work on the new “Deep water” marina due to start this year attracting the larger boats to the area. The nearest Airport is Murcia (San Javier) which is about a 40 minute drive and is served by several of the low cost airlines from the UK.
The La Manga strip is a watersports paradise, with activities from simple swimming to snorkling and scuba diving on the marine preserves, sailing, windsurfing, kite surfing or even just enjoying the Sun. The world famous La Manga Club is a short drive away and boasts 3 championship golf courses, football academy (where the England team train), tennis academy and 17 restaurants and bars. At the end of the strip, a short drive (or bus journey) away is the fishing village of Cabo de Palos, renowned for it’s fish restaurants and it’s large Sunday market. The large Calblanque national park is a 20 minute drive and has lots to offer from totally unspoilt Mediterranean beaches to horse riding or even mountain climbing.
