Process of restoration & key features
The developers have viewed the project as a “ labor of love”, rather than a real estate project.
In this light, original features were retained and restored , where possible, or copied and recycled within the house on a case by case basis. Missing features that had been ripped out through the years – for instance the embellished windows over the doors, the back sets in the walls or the fireplace- have been reinstated to their former glory, following careful research in library’s archives on similar houses. Special effort has been made to source materials, such as sockets, radiators, lights and handrails , sympathetic to the age of the house.
Notwithstanding, no compromises on modern life’s luxuries are to be found.
