Located in the south west of Spain near the charming town of Ayamonte at the mouth of the river Guadiana the frontier between Spain and Portugal, it is ideal for the discerning tourist who wishes to experience the Spanish way of life away from the package holiday scene. The location offers an exceptional climate with gentle breezes on the coast and is perfect for the relaxing, unhurried holiday.

The apartment is situated in Playa Punta del Moral, Isla Canela in the building 'Playa-Grande 1' which is sited on the beach, 100m to the marina with shops, bars and restaurants, 500m to the fishing village of Punta del Moral with supermarket, bars and restaurants and near to the islands own golf course. A newly built sports centre has opened nearby and has available for hire basketball, football, tennis and paddle tennis courts. Boules is available at the golf course, there are bicycles for hire nearby and boat trips are available from the marina.

The apartment is 74m2 with a 14m2 terrace which overlooks the communal gardens and enjoys the sun from early afternoon until sundown and has side sea views. The apartment has 2 bedrooms (double and twin), bathroom, comfortable lounge/diner, kitchen, utility terrace, sun terrace and is fully equipped with television, dvd, electric cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, washing machine, iron, ironing board, clothes line, water heater and 2 oil filled portable radiators for winter use. The apartment has access to 2 private pools and one underground car parking space.

Linen and towels are provided (not beach towels) and if staying 2 weeks a change of linen/towels together with a mid clean are provided.

Isla Canela is joined to the mainland by a small bridge to the the charming town of Ayamonte. In Ayamonte you can find everything you need for your stay. A daily covered fruit, vegetable, meat and fish market, various supermarkets and shops, cinema, restaurants, bars and banks. Ayamonte also has a small weekly market on Saturdays.

From Ayamonte you can take a ferry (passenger and car) across to Vila Real de Santo Antonio in Portugal or if you prefer to drive the border is 3 km away.

Costa de la Luz (Huelva province), stretches from the Portuguese border to the Donana Park and the River Guadalquivir. 15 wonderful beaches stretch along the length of the 150 km coastline of the province. Between them they offer the visitor golden sands, dunes, pinegroves and clean waters.

A trip inland into the Sierra Morena of Huelva is well worth while. Here you will find a mountainous landscape full of oaks, olive trees and chestnuts trees, and a district of white villages with castles, churches and mosques.
