The Chalet dates back to 1635 ( you can still see the building date etched on the side of a cross beam) and is one of the original houses that comprised the village of Alagna when it was exclusively inhabited by the famed Walser mountainspeople.
The Chalet is an easy walking distance to the Alagna skilifts that are part of the MonteRosa ski system. They take you up to one of the highest pistes in Europe and to breathtaking scenery. The ski system comprises miles and miles of pistes on 3 mountains of the valley of Alagna and of the neighboring valleys of Gressoney and Champoluc, all reacheable on skies.
