Egils Guesthouse is a family company operating a single house in a great location in Borgarnes, a small town on the west coast of Iceland. The house is tastefully furnished and decorated to create a comfortable and calm environment. The house was completely renovated last winter. It is built in 1906 and one of the oldest house in the village. The owners are renovating the house at out side and the patio is ready.

Near is the sport center with swimming pool and hot tubs and steam bath, many museums and workshops. The centre for puppets arts, Bruduheima, the settlement centre, Landnamssetur. The Skallagrimsgardur park, where it is told that the settler and Viking, Skallagrimur Kveldulfsson is buried is nearby. Day trips are easy to organize from Borgarnes. Snaefellsnes, Dalir and Borgarfjordur valley are all nearby.
It takes only an hour to drive from the capital Reykjavik. Just a 40 minutes drive to Reykholt and the Eiriksjokull glacier. Excellent location to go sightseeing in Snaefellsnes, the national park, going fishing or hiking in Icelandic mountains.
