The perfect holiday! Eight miles south of the river Loire, in the heart of chateau country, Chinon is located on the river Vienne. Joan of Arc came here.... Richard the Lion heart... We wanted a place in the heart of the town, in the medieval quarter, near chateau and river, and the town center... and that's what we have. We love to walk round the corner for our croissants in the morning, to sit on the steps by the river with a book and a mug of coffee, to walk in the forest or visit the local towns and chateau, go painting, bicycling or to sit at a pavement cafe and walk round the perfect medieval streets in the evening....
The House: Right at the top, a lovely light room with twin beds and lots of space! A double-bedded room on the next floor down, and also a bathroom. A first floor all-in-one kitchen and dining room, with two French windows opening onto a long balcony. A ground floor living room with a harpsichord, DVD player and a couple of bicycles. The ground floor was originally a shop: now it is our hall, music room and living room! There is a DVD player with and good selection of DVDs, and a harpsichord - bring some music! 2 bicycles will allow you to enjoy getting around the town and the countryside near Chinon.
Bedrooms: The second floor bedroom is a comfortable room with a double-bed, chairs, hanging space and chest of drawers. The top floor contains one large bedroom with two single beds.
