Hostellerie de la Maronne With its swimming pool and tennis court surrounded by lovely gardens and sweeping countryside, this handsomeley furnished 19th century maison de maitre makes a fine retreat whether you're in search of rest or recreation. Alain Decock is a fine host who took over the hostellerie a few years ago and smartened it up considerably: a smart dining room with panoramic views is built into the hillside and bedrooms and public rooms were given a stylish facelift. Despite its formal air, the calm, elegant sitting room, decorated in muted tones and furnished with antiques, is a particular favorite with guests.
Food is taken seriously. Madame Decock is the chef, responsible for a range of creative set menus (reaching up to gastronomique levels) as well as a reasonably priced carte. Breakfast includes freshly squeezed orange juice and delicious homemade jam. The bedrooms and apartments are as comfortable and chic as the public rooms, with similarly subtle colour schemes. The most attractive have south-facing terraces and stunning views over the valley - easily worth the extra euros.

If you want the half-board (evening meal: a starter, main course, cheese and dessert & breakfast), the supplement is 52 ˆ per person per day from 3 days (with no choice but different menus for 7 days exactly the same quality as the menus.) Otherwise it is better for you to choose the menus for 1 or 2 nights.
Breakfast: 14 ˆ or terrace and a buffet: fruit juice, pastries, homemade jam, applesauce, Cantal-between, meats, fruit platter, cereals, yoghurt & fromage frais, or in your room: we serve a small Continental Breakfast.
Extra bed in room is 20 ˆ: option available room suite and junior suite (1 or 2 beds) and upper terrace (1 bed).
