Isla Canela boasts 3 large 4 star international hotels, yachting marina, shopping complex, bars, cafes and minimart and only a 5 minute walk to the village of Punta de Moral where each morning the local fishing boats unload their catch. Ayamonte is the nearest town and is situated approximately 10 minutes away by car/bus. Once in Ayamonte you can board the river ferry to Portugal or join one of the many boat tours up the Rio (River) Guardiana. There are many sporting activities such as golf at nearby Isla Canela Golf Club, windsurfing, boating or for the more sedate whale/dolphin watching, bird watching and various river cruises.
