"The Apartment is located near the heart of Altinkum making it the ideal base for a range of different activities, from relaxing round a pool or on the beach, to trying out watersports or jeep safaris; from exploring the historic and natural wonders of this coast, to sampling the delights of the many bars and restaurants, all within walking distance or a reasonable drive.
The Apartment itself is a very good size for up to four people to stay comfortably without feeling overcrowded. All rooms are bright, airy and spacious. The living room has comfortable chairs and a generously sized double sofa bed, as well as dining and coffee tables.
Cooking facilities include a 4 hob gas cooker, a microwave, and sufficient work surface for food preparation, plus a breakfast bar.
There is a safety deposit box in the apartment and a “Welcome Pack” is provided for all the first day essentials like tea, coffee, sugar, milk, bread and preserves.
Moving outside, the balcony is large and spacious, extending the living space even further. It is open on three sides giving good views all round, and is suitable for outdoor eating as there are tables, chairs and lighting. The view is green belt farm land which means there is a good distance between the complex and other buildings. The view is interesting and sometimes entertaining as you watch the world go by.
The Royal Marina complex was only completed in June 2007 and is constructed to the highest standards. There is a 24 hour manned reception, with one main entrance, and CCTV security around the complex. Excursions, car rentals, and money exchange are available at reception. All staff working on this complex are friendly, efficient and helpful.

Its location is such that a car is not really necessary as beaches and resort attractions are all within walking distance and there are plenty of Dolmus mini-buses to take you virtually anywhere for a lire (approx 45p).
Looking to the future, a luxury yachting marina is due to be completed by 2009 and there are plans to build several golf courses in the area, so there really is something for everyone around this complex .
Altinkum is an exciting resort which attracts both the Turkish and English speaking people, giving you a good feel for Turkish life. There are 3 wonderful golden sandy beaches which gently shelve into the clear blue Aegean sea making them suitable for all ages, especially children. Each of these beaches has nearby restaurants that offer pick up and drop off services if you don’t feel like walking.
At night time the main beach becomes a hive of activity, with a wide range of restaurants and snacks “on the go”. There are plenty of bars and some nightclubs as well as many shops and stalls, selling everything imaginable.
The weekly Saturday MARKET is only a short Dolmus (local mini-bus) ride away and is recommended for the shopaholics and bargain hunters amongst you, where there are many treats in the form of handbags, t-shirts, belts, tablecloths, spices, ornaments and locally grown fruit and veg.

Just 10 minutes drive away is the most impressive single monument on the west coast of Ionia - the TEMPLE OF APOLLO at Didyma. Here, one can see the famous stone relief Head of Medusa.
Didyma was a sacred place starting from the 8th century B.C. The word Didyma meant twins and was associated by some as being the meeting place of Zeus and Leto to have their twins Apollo and Artemis.
A little further afield is EPHESUS, the best preserved classical city of the Eastern Mediterranean, and among the best places in the world enabling one to genuinely soak up the atmosphere of Roman times.
Near to Ephesus is the HOUSE OF THE VIRGIN MARY. This is a Christian and Muslim shrine and is believed by many that Mary, the mother of Jesus, was taken to this stone house by Saint John, after the crucifixion of Jesus and Muslims believe the rise of Jesus to heaven, and that she lived there until her Assumption into Heaven.
If you prefer more natural wonders, then a visit to PAMUKKALE may be just the thing. It is one of the most extraordinary natural wonders in Turkey – a vast white cliff side with scallop-shaped basins of water and frozen waterfalls. It looks as if its made out of snow or balls of cotton and is due to hot thermal springs pouring down the hillside, depositing calcium carbonate, which solidifies. If you take off your shoes, you can gingerly roam the terraces or paddle in the pools. The Turks have dubbed this geological fairyland Pamukkale, or "cotton castle".
And if all this still isn’t enough, take a visit to the AQUA PARK, just 10 minutes drive from the apartment. They’ll even do a door to door pick up and drop off service, so there’s no excuses!
