Our 2 bedroom luxury apartment is on the 2nd floor, overlooking the pool of this brand new award winning apartment complex. Accommodation for up to 4 people. The two balconies offer both sea and mountain views. Cebeci 8 was awarded the "Best property in 2006" by the Mahmutlar Municipality. The complex comprises 70 luxury apartments, 8 penthouses and includes swimming pool with waterslides, separate childrens pool, Jacuzzi pool, childrens play area, fitness centre & sauna, tennis court, landscaped garden, elevator, 24hr security, wheelchair ramps to buildings. Mahmutlar is 15 minutes drive from the centre of Alanya and you can catch the local Dolmus outside the apartments. The centre of Mahmutlar, where you can find local bars, restaurants and shops, is only 400 metres away. Mahmutlar is a small, developing resort with wide tree-lined boulevards, excellent restaurants, bars and beaches. There are many beach cafés where sunbeds and umbrellas may be hired. The whole atmosphere is "laid back" in a typically Turkish way. The night life is similarly "low-key" but you will find a varied selection of bars and restaurants within a few hundred metres of the apartment. The local market is held every Saturday and Tuesday. Here you can buy an amazing variety of superb local produce at a fraction of the UK cost as well as the obligatory designer clothing. Mahmutlar is about 10km from Alanya which can be reached by Dolmus for about 1 euro. To catch the Dolmus just stand at the side of the beach road and the next Dolmus will stop to pick you up. The Dolmus does not use bus stops so you can also be dropped where you like on the route. There is no timetable, but they run so frequently that you wont wait long. There is also a regular bus service but for this you need to wait at a bus stop. Alanya is a popular seaside resort in southern Turkey , about 80 miles east of Antalya International Airport. To the east and west of Alanya you find some of the best beaches in Turkey ,the Taurus Mountains provide a breathtaking backdrop to the north. Most of old Alanya lies on the great rocky promontory that juts out into the sea. In the old town you find many old houses, towers and mosques, as well as a nice small harbour. At the waterfront there are plenty of friendly bars, tea-houses, cafes and restaurants with an excellent range of international and traditional cuisine. High above Alanya you find an impressive 14-th century citadel. Within its walls are quaint houses, mosques and a Byzantine church decorated with frescoes. There are twisting narrow alleyways tempting shoppers with their colourful boutiques and stalls of cheese-cloth dresses, carpets, copper and jewellery. Below the citadel you find sea caves and grottoes. Some can only be reached by boat but you can walk up to the most famous, Damlatas or " Cave of Dripping Stones ". The beautiful cave has a host of impressive stalactites and stalagmites with a moist warm atmosphere said to benefit asthma sufferers. As well as its cultural and historical sights, Alanya has an unbeatable beach life too. Beautiful sandy Cleopatra beach lies to the west of the resort while the fine sands of Alanya beach stretch to the east. A good range of water-sports are available too. The nightlife is easy-going and relaxed with a wide choice of night-spots located at the edge of town. Take your pick from lively bars to late-night discos for real night-owls. There are many airlines that fly directly to Anatalya (4hrs Flying time on average) and these can be found on the internet at www.alanyappr.com/airlines.htm. Car hire IS NOT essential for this property, unless you plan to visit many of the interesting sites around the area, but can be arranged through our local Manager. Airport transfers to and from Antalya airport and the apartment can also be arranged. The cost is approx. 60 euros for up to four persons. This can be arranged by contacting the owner directly.
