The new Riverside Resort, completed in September 2006, sits on the banks of the River Dim on the beautiful Turkish Mediterranean, just 5 minutes walk from the beach and only just over a mile and a half from the shops, cafes, restaurants and nightlife of the ancient city of Alanya. Riverside Resort consists of 215 apartments in 4 buildings set in landscaped gardens with palm trees and other shrubs. The 4 buildings are 9 stories high and set in a semi circle around the half Olympic size swimming pool and on the banks of the River Dim. Palm trees surround the complex giving it a feeling of serenity. Inside the storage wardrobe is a washing machine and the electric hot water heater. 1 double bedroom with two single beds. (11.4 sq m ). Dressing table. Main bathroom with wash basin, toilet and Jacuzzi shower. Two very large wardrobes, one by the front door and the other in the hallway by the main bathroom for clothes storage. Designer kitchen with granite worktops. ( 9.6 sq m ) Open plan Living room and dining area. ( 28.5 sq m ). Dining Table and chairs for 4, two settees and two armchairs. TV and satellite reception. These are for use only in the apartment and not at the pool or beach. The apartment is NO SMOKING. Please take adequate holiday insurance cover as we will not be held responsible for any accidents which may occur whilst staying at the apartment.There are several supermarkets, fruit and vegetable shops and two bakeries within a few minutes walk from the apartment where day to day provisions can be purchased. There are also several restaurants within a 5 minute walk which you will pass when walking to the beach. Alanya City Centre can be reached either by taxi, which are very reasonable, or by using the local busses ( Dolmus ). In Alanya there is something for everyone from shopping in the bazaars, nightclubs by the harbour, and many good restaurants and bars. Outside the main entrance to the Resort you can catch a bus / taxi which will take you to the floating restaurants on the River Dim. This should not be missed on your stay as you will not experience anything like this anywhere else. There are many airlines that fly directly to Anatalya and these can be found on the internet. ( 4hrs Flying time on average.) Car hire IS NOT essential for this property, unless you plan to visit many of the interesting sites around the area, but can be arranged through our local Manager. Also airport transfers to and from Antalya airport to the apartment can also be arranged. Average cost is approx. 60 euros for up to three persons. This can be arranged by contacting the owner directly. The nightlife is centred in Alanya Town Centre, mainly around the Harbour Area. There are many restaurants and bars catering for varied tastes. At the harbour you can arrange to take a boat trip for the day to explore the coastline and see how beautiful the area is.
