Our Villa is situated on a complex. We are on the edge facing south and opposite a peach orchard. The villa also faces the National Park and provides stunning views. There are 1or2 shops on the site, a communal pool and small café with a basketball court and a small childrens play area. There is a local bus service provided which you can stop wherever you want all you have to do is wave and the driver will stop. The service is very reasonable cost wise and is known as the dolmush This will take you into Kusadasi where there are plenty of shops and restaurants providing many cuisines. You can eat for as little as a couple of pounds each! There are many cash machines in town where you can obtain many currencies. The markets and bazaars are very good and clothes are very cheap including brand names! The Friday market is especially good this is held on Wednesdays and Fridays, Wednesday is the clothing day and Friday is for Fruit and Veg. The traders in town are very friendly as are most of the Turkish people. .As I have already mentioned there is a very good bus service, however I would suggest If possible hiring a car and travel around to enjoy all that Turkey has to offer. One suggestion though, be careful on the roads their driving takes some getting used to!! You can also hire scooters or if you prefer not to drive the taxi service is very reasonable. There are plenty of them and they offer a very efficient service. You can also take day trips on the many boat charters available they are extremely good value most offer all you can eat and drink and take you to 3 or 4 bays where you can snorkel or swim with, if youre lucky, dolphins!Top of the list must be Ephesus considered to be one of the wonders of the world! You can see and walk along old roman roads and see the Library, which is fantastic! For those interested in religion you can visit the last resting place of Mary, mother of Jesus. A visit to Pamukale is well worth it, you can book a coach excursion where the guide will spend the whole day giving you the history of the area. This very historical place is very interesting due to the calcium deposits, which make the side of the mountain look ice covered. You also stop off on route to a large hotel where you can bath in mineral baths.
Those of you that are more adventurous can spend the day or two at the famous Aqua Park, which provides exceptional views over the bay.
This is situated just outside Kusadasi a short bus ride away. A ferry crossing from the harbour will take you to the island of Samos, Greece so you cxan see two countries in one day.
