Located just inside the Loire Valley, this 100 year old property has been converted to a high standard and offers superb self catering accommodation for between 2 - 14+ Guests in either the Gite or Farmhouse.
La Godefrere is set in a pretty courtyard with panoramic views over the beautiful surrounding countryside.

The living area's are large and comfortable with original granite stone walls in the Gite and original beams and features preserved in both. There is satellite TV, dvd and video players and a selection of dvds and videos for all ages in both properties. The well stocked bookshelf also contains games and jigsaws.

There are fully equipped modern kitchen's including fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and CD/cassette/radio. The dining tables have sufficient chairs for everyone and a high chair can be provided on request.

There are two well decorated and airy loft bedrooms, one double and one twin in the Gite, each has room for a folding bed (suitable for children) and a sofa double bed in the lounge area sleeping a total of 2-6+. The Farmhouse has 3 large airy bedrooms sleeping 2-8+ guests
A travel cot can be provided on request. All linen and towels are included

The bathroom's have a shower, w.c. and hand wash basin in the Gite and a large family bathroom in the Farmhouse.

Why not wander out into the orchard after a hard days sightseeing and enjoy a barbeque, you can watch the sun go down with a glass or two of wine. All you will hear are the birds and the cows and sometimes the occasional tractor. Depending on the time of year you will be able to pick apples, pears, cherries, plums, walnuts or chesnuts.

As you will discover there is plenty to see and do in the local area - why not visit the huge market at St Hilaire du Harcouet on a Wednesday morning and pick up some of the wonderful French cheese and cider for lunch.

The small market towns of Gorron and Ambrieres les Vallees are close by and you will find all your provisions in the supermarkets there.

A little further away is the Mont St Michel which is a monestery built on a rock out at sea and well worthy of a day out!

St Fraimbault is just around the corner and is known as the village of flowers, if you visit in the summer you will understand why.

Lots of the local villages have fetes throughout the summer where you can mingle with the locals and enjoy the French way of life.
