‘The ‘Granary’ is a newly built first-floor self contained country cottage in the grounds of a recently built (2001) large house located on the edge of Gaydon - a typical mid Warwickshire village with strong links to the Cromwellian era, the Battle of Edge Hill (October 1642) and the Plymouth Brethren.
Edge Hill itself is only minutes away, where there is an extraordinary pub, ‘ The Castle’ (go for lunch on a good day to savour the fantastic views over the Warwickshire plains towards the Cotswolds, Chipping Camden and Shipston-upon-Stour).
Gaydon is an exceptional hub for the many local tourist attractions and is within 10 miles of:-
Stratford-upon-Avon with the RSC Theatre, Anne Hathaways Cottage, and many other Shakespearean connections.
Banbury with its open air markets on Thursdays and Saturdays, the Cross of nursery rhyme fame.
Warwick famous for its Castle and its lifelike Madam Tussauds waxwork characters the River Avon and it’s Elizabethan architecture.
Leamington Spa where the old Pump Rooms are still in use, it’s Regency Terraces and excellent shopping facilities.
Further afield are the Cotswolds, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Oxford, Birmingham (NEC and National Indoor Arena) Coventry Cathedral and Rugby – all within an hour’s drive.

From Junction 12 of the M40. Take the left turn, B4451 signed to Gaydon and
Kineton. Go straight over at the roundabout. Go down the hill and on the right you
will see a small village green, a flag pole and a brick bus shelter. Look for a drive
after the brick bus shelter, opposite St Giles Close called UPPER FARM
MEADOW. Come up the drive, bear left, and The Paddocks is at the very end.
Come as close as you can to the gates and they will open for you. Park your car to
the right, then come to the front door for the key of the ‘Granary’.
‘The Granary’ is very cosy and pretty and ideal for two .
No pets or children and no smoking in the cottage
This cottage is of a very high standard as it has just come out of the superior hands
of ‘English Country Cottages’, as we prefer the freedom of letting it ourselves.
