Yellow Bird is a privately owned one bedroom house, set in it's own mature tropical hillside garden with magnificent views across the 'Narrows' to St Kitts, located on the north east coast of Nevis.
The house is set back from the small island road at an elevated position with several garden steps and a staircase to the main accomodation.
The fine, pale golden sands of Oualie Beach are directly opposite and access is a three or four minute stroll from the garden gate.
The spacious accomodation has an open plan living, dining and kitchen area, with five sets of louvred (netted) timber french doors leading to a wide balcony, sun decks and a lower pool deck with a 15 ' square pool.
The pretty bedroom has doors to one of the side decks with sunrise views over Round Hill. It is furnished with a king size bed and has a ceiling fan and roof turbine.
An antique Dutch guest bed can also be erected in an alcove to the side of the living room to accomodate a further adult or child.
The bathroom has a walk in shower and a large closet space.
The kitchen has a gas stove, freezer, fridge/freezer, toaster, coffee maker and ample cookware, crockery,utensils and glassware.
The house has been professionally furnished and decorated in co-ordinating gentle Caribbean hues and patterns.
There is a cd/radio and a small library of holiday reading. The telephone accepts all incoming calls, local calls are free of charge to guests and international calls may be made via the local operator using a credit card. Cable tv may be installed for a small charge.
There is a washing machine in the utility room set at garden level, under the main living accomodation.
The house is managed locally and is kept spotlessly clean by the housekeeper who visits twice a week. All guests are met at Newcastle Airport or, if arriving via St Kitts, the ferry teminal in Charlestown or the jetty at Oualie Beach if using the local water taxi service.
