'Casa Girasole' sits immersed in the green hills with a panoramic views of the Apuane Alps and the town of Lucca. It was previously an old farm building that has been renovated into a charming holiday home and enjoys spectacular views from the farmhouse, the outside dining area and from the pool . This farmhouse has been restored wonderfully and has retained its charm while providing an elegant place for your vacation. 'Casa Girasole' is a typical Tuscan stone structure with exposed stone walls, exposed beams and terracotta tiles throughout. It is light and spacious and has many lovely outdoor areas for reading, relaxing and enjoying your Chianti and bowl of pasta! The first floor features a large, yet very homely kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher, full size refrigerator/freezer, toaster, microwave and both an Italian and American coffee maker. The open plan living area features a beautiful stone fireplace and dining area. Comfortable sofas and a large library make this room an ideal place to relax. There is a bathroom with shower and a storeroom with a washing machine. Up stairs to the first floor where you will find all of the bedrooms. On this floor there is the master bedroom with a matrimonial bed and an ensuite with a shower. There is another two matrimonial bedrooms and a bedroom with two single bunk beds. There is another bathroom with a jacuzzi and seperate shower. There is a large swimming pool (6 x 12) which is paved and has unbeatable views of the countryside. There is a large outdoor dining table and a stone barbecue. Sun chairs and a large thatched pergola make this a wonderful place to enjoy your lazy Tuscan days. Other amenities include a washing machine and iron, satellite television, telephone, VHS, stereo. This area is one that is rich with history, natural spa's, charming medieval villages and lots more. The walled town of Lucca itself is fantastic and here you will find supermarkets, banks, variety stores, a post office etc. There is a train from Lucca to take you into Florence if you don’t wish to drive the 45 mins. From 'Casa Girasole' you can easily reach the exclusive Versilian Riviera towns of Forte dei Marmi & Viareggio. The magical spa town of Bagno di Lucca is less than 45 mins away and also the medieval village of Barga. There is also Carrara which is famous for it's marble, and the entire Garfagnana area surrounding is rich in things to do and see. Florence is 40 miles away by motorway and Pisa Airport is 30 miles from the property.
