Secluded Family Site in a peaceful location. The apartment is part of a small family run complex where the grounds are carefully looked after. To one side is a basketball and volleyball court with olive trees and a play area to give that feel good factor. With Moraht, his wife and a handy man living on site, it completes the recipe for a perfect place to stay. Although there is air-conditioning it's rarely used due to the gently northerly breeze which keeps the rooms cool .The veranda is ideal for spending the evening gazing at the stars, relaxing after a meal with a glass of good wine bought from the local supermarket. Contains a dining room table with 5 chairs. Smoking permited on veranda. Bedlinen, hand and shower towels changed every week. Apartment cleaned beginning and end of each week. Beach towels can be hired for 10 Tkl pp.pw. The water is solar powered and free. Perfect for children as there is little to break! The steps outside have a swing gate at the top which can be secured to prevent very young children going walkabout.The swimming pool (20m) is shared with other users of the site only, (usually rich business Turks from Istanbul) with sunbeds and a small pool bar provided. The water is cool but welcoming. The area is surrounded by a wall with 24hr security, keeping the site private and secluded. Instead of walking to the beach you can catch the Torba buses that pass regularly and it is a 3 min walk to the main rd for the buses to Bodrum.500m walk from the site is a large supermarket and cash machine (new this year). It is a 15 min walk to the beach, unless you stop at some of the little shops and restaurants on the way. The beaches are small but beautiful and you are welcome to use The Escape Beach Hotel. as all their facilities are free and include a sandy beach. Torba village has a good internet cafe, bars, small shops and cheap telephone lines. Bodrum the famous Turkish port only 10 min by the frequent dolmuses ( small buses ) has become one of the main towns visited by holiday and Turkish visitors alike. It offers a variety of cafes, bars, restaurants and typical narrows streets which create that unmistakable bustle and noise connected with bazaars and bargains! There is a large food and clothes market twice a week where locals bring their wares to be sold, and for the spice entrepreneur or the (genuine fake) connoisseur it could be heaven! Bodrum boasts of the Mausoleum of Halikarnus (one of the Seven Wonders of the World) an historic amphitheatre and the famed Castle. The Hillikarnas night club, hammams, a large disco catamaran, the Oasis:-a huge centre with all the modern designer shops, 8 cinemas, bowling alley and live entertainment, provide nearly everything that a holiday maker could wish for, and with the buses running 24hrs there is no danger of being stranded when you at last wish to return to the little haven of Torba. Arrangements have been made to obtain the services of a local Irish painter. The informal personal lessons are geared to the needs of the guest. Equipment (acrylic paint) is provided and instruction is supplied on site in the beautiful surroundings of Torba. If you wish, you can purchase one of his own exhibits that are on sale in Bodrum. Borum International Airport 20 mins drive.It hosts most of the popular air companies from all parts of the UK. eg:- websites Thomsonfly.Cheapflights, also Aegean flights which has a type of booking similar to EasyJet! Hire car not advised as you can be met at the airport by site the manager. Local buses are cheap and often! and in Bodrum are available for the local areas, beaches and sites of interest. Low price luxury coaches go further afield. Ferries can take you to Kos in Greece for the day.
