Day trips to Florence and Rome are popular -1 hour on the train. Trips to other medieval towns and villages such as Montepulciano,Assisi,Perugia,Siena are just a short drive . The two large lakes of Trassimeno and Bolsena, where you can enjoy all watersports/fishing, are nearby -treat yourself to a delicious freshly caught fish meal on the shores.
