General Description
Immersed in a natural reserve at the mouth of the River Belice, this modern villa is just a few yards from a sandy beach that lies below the garden. The trail leading to it is tricky in parts, so care is needed. This coastline is one of the most beautiful in Sicily. White sands starkly contrast with the clear blue sea, and the scent of lilies and wild herbs fills the air.
Villa Agave is comfortable, simply furnished and light. The magnificent garden is dotted with palms. Tended lawns stretch out in front and the furnished terrace is filled with colorful flowers.
The final joy of this position is the surrounding area. Selinunte is just four miles away and is Europe's largest archaeological site. Built by the ancient Greeks, there are fallen columns, dismantled towers and the acropolis. Boat trips can be made to see the entire spectacle from the sea. Nearby is a restaurant and a "caffè bar", where some immediate necessities can be purchased.
