is a beautiful town with restaurants, bars and local markets. The magical quality’s of this town is the absence of traffic, as the tiny streets are not suitable for cars, there are though two roads that allow loading and unloading in the centre.
Life in Olevano has a pace of it’s own, long walks may be taken in the nearby park or through the beautiful streets whilst eating ice cream and admiring the breathtaking views.
If you want to give a boost to your cultural life you can hop on a bus or train and arrive in down town Rome in 40 minutes or maybe you’d rather a relaxing day at the ancient spa’s of Fiuggi (20 minutes bus or car journey ). If you love skiing you can do so at Campo Catino (30 min). Shopaholicks are very close to the Italian designer Outlets at Valmontone with over 150 shops only 15 minutes away.
A brief history
Olevano is located on Monte Celeste (573 a.s.l.) just outside Rome (48 km 34 miles).
This Town use to be the home of Pelasagi and Equi that were constantly fighting against the Roman Empire, after years of battles Olevano became roman territory.
In the 1800 Olevano became part of the land owned by the Pope and it’s Stato Ponteficio.

Madonna del Colle Sanctuary with its breathtaking view on the Ciclopiche wall and the tiny street underneath.
