The Property
The villa is situated on the very popular Domaine les Tamaris in Portiragnes Plage, near Beziers. It has 3 bedrooms and a convertible sofa and can sleep up to 7 people. There is a bathroom upstairs as well as a shower/toilet on the ground floor a making it suitable for elderly/disabled people.
There are two fabulous pool complexes on the site, both residents-only and with toddler, child and full-size pools. The house is a 5 minute walk from the award-winning Portiragnes Plage sandy Mediterranean beach and there are shops and entertainments within walking distance. It’s an ideal location for a family holiday.

Inside
On the ground floor there is a large open plan lounge /dining room / kitchen. It has a TV with DVD player and CD/Radio. The kitchen has a full size hob, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, dishwasher and fridge. The downstairs shower room has shower, toilet and hand basin. There is a door to the garage which is available for guests to use. The garage has a second ‘drinks’ fridge.

Upstairs
One double bedroom with built-in wardrobe and balcony (for that first cup of morning coffee in the sun !).
One single bedroom with wardrobe.
Third bedroom with two single beds and wardrobe.
Bathroom with basin, toilet and bath with shower attachment.
The stairs are equipped with a stairgate.



Outside
The south-facing patio is surrounded by oleander bushes for privacy and it gets the sun throughout the day. There is a covered terrace area so you can eat outside even if it is raining. There is a set of garden chairs and table, a barbeque and private driveway for parking.

The Area
Domaine les Tamaris is very child-friendly, with a well-equipped play area, table tennis tables, boules and mini-golf. It is a secure site with gated access and a low speed limit for cars. There are two bars one of which has evening entertainment during high season. As well as several pools the larger complex has two Jacuzzis. There is a reception where you can get details of up-coming events and site information (it normally has an English-speaker available). There is a bakery van on-site most mornings (fresh croissants and baguettes!) and a take-away van selling pizzas, chicken and chips etc.
There is a wide range of restaurants and grocery/newsagent/butcher/fishmonger/baker and patisserie shops within easy walking distance of the house. Bikes, horses and boats can be rented nearby and there are regular produce, craft and souvenir markets at the beach.
The long sandy beach has won Blue Flag awards over several years and it is backed by an area of protected dunes. It is patrolled by life guards during high season. Cycle routes weave throughout the area.
The UNESCO Heritage listed Canal du Midi is very close to the site and the whole area is surrounded by fields, a nature reserve and vineyards with the Pyrenees to the West and the Camargue to the East. The Languedoc-Roussillon area is famed for its wine production and there are many beauty spots and interesting medieval villages to visit inland. The large town of Beziers is 20 minutes drive from Domaine les Tamaris. Between the village and Beziers is a new development of restaurants with a large hypermarket. The village of Portiragnes is 5 minutes away.
Theme parks (Aqualand, Europark), karting and quad-biking are a short drive away and there is a children’s activity/adventure playground just outside Portiragnes.
