Whilst St Samson has a rural setting it is only a short drive ( 10 minutes ) to the bustling town of Pontivy with its medieval castle, hpermarkets and full range of shops, restaurants and other amenities. Being in Central Brittany we are ideally placed for visiting both the North and the South coasts of the department ( 1 hour drive ) also the county town of Rennes and other towns like Vannes, St Brieuc and Quimper. Nearer to home is the man made Lac de Guerlédan ( 10 minute drive ) with its safe sandy beaches and water sport facilities ( wind surfing, canoeing, swimming, sailing ).
