GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This impressive house is set high up in the exclusive resort of Altea Hills. It faces south and enjoys unimpeded views of the Bay of Altea and the vast expanse of the Mediterranean Sea. Minimalist, light and spacious in design, the house is the work of a well-known Belgian architect. The owners have created a very comfortable and airy interior, combining natural materials, a neutral colour theme and high quality furniture. This interior is enhanced by floor-to-ceiling glass windows and doors which face directly out to sea and allow sunlight to illuminate the whole villa. Built on three levels, all the rooms are laid out lineally providing excellent views. All the bedrooms are clean and light and the bathrooms are luxurious. A wooden sun-deck terrace surrounds the house (on the coastal side) leading to and bordering the large "horizon" pool, which appears to drop away into the sea. This decking, together with the aluminium painted railings and the spectacular sea views, makes you feel like you are on a cruise ship. The independent cottage also has a nautical theme with its terrace shaded by a kite-like structure similar to the sail of a yacht. This property is ideally located for those seeking tranquility and privacy and yet it is only a short distance from the nearest town of Altea. The property is easily reached from the motorway which is 2km away.
ACCOMMODATION AND FACILITIES
Main House. Three floors. First Floor: 2-car garage (with electric gate) and utility room with laundry facilities. Ground Floor: Large living/dining room containing one 3-seater sofa, two armchairs, a modern wooden coffee table, a telescope, a satellite TV and a CD player. The dining area has a modern wooden dining table and 4 leather chairs. The kitchen is well-equipped with all essential modern appliances including oven, microwave, ceramic hob, 2 fridges, 1 freezer and dishwasher. The living/dining room and kitchen have panoramic sea views enjoyed through huge floor-to-ceiling glass windows and sliding doors that open onto a partly covered main terrace that leads to the "horizon" swimming pool. The covered terrace has an al fresco dining area that seats eight, metal sun loungers and an outside shower. The master bedroom (king size bed 1.80m x 2.00m) has an en suite marble bathroom, with shower and separate hydro-massage oval bath, and a private dressing room. Leading through sliding glass doors, it has a private terrace that faces out to the sea. There is an additional WC on this floor. Lower Ground Floor. There is one double bedroom (king size 1.80m x 2.00m) with en suite bathroom with bath, hand-held shower and sea views. It has glass sliding doors that open out onto a shared terrace that join a staircase leading to the swimming pool terrace. There is a study with a sofa bed (king size) or which can be converted into a twin bedroom (2 single beds 0.90m x 2.00m) if required. This study has an en suite bathroom with bath and hand-held shower and a private dressing room. It also has glass sliding doors leading to the shared terrace that faces out to the sea and access via a staircase to the pool terrace. A door connects the last two bedrooms. There is also a sauna. N.B. Each bedroom has a safe.
Cottage - adjacent to the main house. The light open-plan living/dining area furnished with sofas and continuing the design themes of the main house has sea views and opens out onto the main terrace. There is a separate fitted kitchen and two twin bedrooms (2 single beds 0.90m x 2.00m), which share the use of a communal marble bathroom with shower.
