Villa - House to rent in Begur Girona Costa Brava Spain

Casa Mirador is a spacious detached villa very near the charming medieval town of Begur and Sa Riera beach (both only 5 mins drive away). Perched on a hill in a quiet cul-de-sac the villa has uninterrupted panoramic sea and country views from every room. The villa, terraces, gardens and secluded private heated pool (8 x 4 m) are all completely unoverlooked. Two large living rooms, one on each floor. Totally refurbished for 2008 to a high standard. It can sleep a further 2 people using the sofa bed. The upper floor L-shaped living room gives onto terraces providing sun and shade and overlooks the pool, the Mediterranean and the Illes Medes. The lower level living room gives onto the pool area. Free internet access, satellite TV. All year round, within a few mins drive of the villa you can enjoy the rugged coastline, unspoilt fishing villages and beaches - Sa Riera, Sa Tuna, Tamariu, Llafranch, Calella; medieval villages and towns-Pals, Peratallada. Begur has characterful shops, cafes, restaurants, quaint alleys and a market square. Numerous activities nearby.

ACCOMMODATION

2 large living rooms: 2 separate seating areas for 10 people upstairs and 1 seating area for 6+ downstairs, fireplace, sofabed

Bathrooms: 3 bathrooms. Bathroom 1 - ensuite with toilet, bath with shower, bidet. Bathroom 2 - toilet, bath with shower. Bathroom 3 - toilet, bath with shower. The bathrooms have been refurbished to a very high standard for 2008.

Bedrooms: 5 bedrooms , sleeps maximum of 12 people. Bedroom 1- large double bed, ensuite bathroom. Bedroom 2 - large double bed. Bedroom 3 - 2 single beds, 1 cot. Bedroom 4 - 2 single beds. Bedroom 5 - 2 single beds. All bedrooms have uninterrupted beautiful sea views and large fitted wardrobes with hanging space, shelves and drawers. The villa sleeps 10 comfortably in the 5 bedrooms and can sleep up to a further 2 people using the sofa bed in the living room on the lower level at a supplementary cost.

Outside:

Large private pool with fantastic sea views and outdoor shower by the poolside, terrace, barbecue, garage, gardens, parking, 10 sun loungers, and dining area.

The pool is heated with 80% renewable energy, extending the usual swimming season from 3 to 7 months, and providing a comfortable 27 C water temperature if required.

Long term renters welcome, non smoking only, pets not allowed, wheelchair inaccessible

Notes: The villa is very spacious and has 2 large separate living rooms, one on each floor. The layout makes it suitable for 2 families, children and teenagers, with a living room and bedrooms and bathrooms on each floor.

People with difficulties with stairs / wheelchair users need to be aware that there is a flight of stairs down to the villa from the cul-de-sac and from the upper level to the pool area and lower level. You can walk to Sa Riera beach in 20 mins (longer on way back as uphill!). The villa has a detached garage and additional off-road parking; parking is also possible outside the villa. Central heating and open fire for winter months. Some DVDs, board games, PS2 games, table tennis and books which you are welcome to enjoy. Outdoor shower by the poolside.

LOCAL AREA
There is something for everyone all year round in this area described as the jewel of the Costa Brava: relaxing in the villa, by the pool or one of the many spectacular beaches with waterfront cafes and restaurants (Sa Riera only 5 mins drive, Sa Tuna, Aiguafreda, Tamariu, Calella, Aiguablava, Llafranch all only 10 - 15 mins drive) ; spectacular coastal and rural walks (long-distance and short), water sports, renowned marine reserves (Ses Negres, Illes Medes), several excellent and very well-regarded golf courses within 15 mins drive, tennis, scuba diving, water park, etc.; daily markets held each day of the week in a different nearby village or town; cafes, shops, superb restaurants either by the sea or in charming medieval towns and villages inland (characterful Begur with quaint alleys, boutiques, cafes restaurants 5 mins drive, Peratallada, Pals, Palafrugell within 10 - 15 mins drive); day trips to Girona, Barcelona, and the Pyrenees; Dali museums at Figueres, Cadaques and Pubol; ceramics and pottery shops at La Bisbal.
