Available all year round, our Spanish holiday apartment in the Veramar complex, close to the beach (Vera Playa), is situated on the Costa Almeria, Spain. This area has one the warmest and sunniest climates in the whole of Europe, with on average, more than 320 days of sun a year. (Typical mid-day temperatures in January, 69°F and in July and August 99°F). This 2 bedroom, first floor apartment, is located on a lovely gated complex, with a communal swimming pool and is fully furnished to a high standard.
Just a few minutes walk away from our holiday accommodation, is the eight km long, blue flag, wide sandy Vera playa beach, which is never overcrowded. There is a water sports centre with equipment hire next to the Valle del Este Beach Club, which has a selection of restaurants. Beach bars and restaurants are scattered along the beach towards Garrrucha, most being open into the night. There are many other small typical Spanish villages & towns within easy reach.
A water park (aquavera) is just a 100m away, (an easy walk) and is open between May and September. There is a new commercial centre with a large supermarket, a Chinese restaurant and several others bars/restaurants nearby. There is pony trekking, quad biking & cycle hire available locally. An Internet café/bar is a short walk away, in the nearby Puerto Ray shopping centre, which also has a variety of small shops, banks, bars and a supermarket.
Almeria airport is the nearest only 90 kms away, while Alicante is 200 kms. . For both airports the road links are excellent, being motorway most the way. Murcia airport (San Javier) is about 120km with a new toll motorway AP7 to Vera now open. There are daily flights to all, from many UK airports. |
