Playa Flamenca is only a short 10 minute drive or bus ride away from Torrevieja and is an ideal location for those wishing to have a relaxing holiday without being too far away from the bright lights of a Spanish town.Torrevieja is a bustling Spanish town with many shops, a long promenade, parks and museums and an international marina. There is a huge street market every Friday. It is a family resort enjoying 340 days of sunshine a year. The salt-pans of Torrevieja are a haven for birds where large numbers of Flamingos are resident. At Torrevieja you will also find an aqua park,night clubs, casinos, cinemas, a fun fair and a bowling alley, boat trips are also available from the marina.
Europe's largest theme park, Terra Mitica is just over an hours drive away.
Scuba diving opportunities are available at Tabarca Island.
The nearest beach, Playa Flamenca, is less than fifteen minutes walk, but within two miles are many blue flag beaches including La Zenia, Punta Prima and the much photographed Cabo Roig beach and harbour.
The area to the south of Torrevieja is a golfer's paradise with a championship course at Villamartin and other courses at Las Ramblas and Campoamor, all are within three miles of the villa. Day and weekly membership available.
Inland is the historic town of Oriheula, with its narrow streets and squares, and the city of Elche is renowned for its tens of thousands of palms and the nearby sub-tropical gardens of Huerton del Cura.
