Local Area Details
Bolnuevo itself is a Spanish village between mountain and sea, making it an ideal resort for a family holiday. The sandy beach is less than a mile from the villa, as is a supermarket with fresh meat, bread, vegetables, alcohol etc. There are various restaurants and bars in Bolnuevo.
It is a relatively unsophisticated area and reflects the Spanish way of life, and this should be taken into account should you consider booking.
It is for these very reasons why we love Bolnuevo.
Port of Mazarron
The Port of Mazarron is about 2 miles away, which in summer is a very busy Spanish resort, and as would be expected is a lot quieter out of season. The facilities at Mazarron include banks, scuba diving, shops, restaurants, tennis, a variety of beaches including very safe and gentle sloping beaches, sailing, vegetable and fish markets etc. A new nine hole Golf course is within a 15 minute drive, this will hopefully be extended to a 18 hole course in the near future. Other golf courses are available within driving distance.
The airport of Murcia is only about 1 hours drive, the airline Ryanair have regular flights to this airport, who we have found to be very reasonably priced.
Alicante is about 1 and a half-hours drive, again many airlines fly here including Easyjet.
Various car hire companies are based at the airports and we would highly recommend hiring a car for your convenience
