Barbados is one of the Carribean's most popular islands and visitors tend to return year after year. It is friendly and safe and often known as "little England". The climate is tropical but the beaches and south-east trade winds make this a beautiful place. Flights are around seven hours direct from UK and good deals can be had by booking in advance and shopping around. The strong UK pound makes it a very attractive place to visit right now.
